A few days before parliamentary elections last June, the record with voice which sounds a lot like opposition leader Robert Fico appeared. It became the talk of the country. The recording appeared to catch Mr Fico describing his role in illegal political fundraising.
You may be wondering what’s going on with the election of a new General Prosecutor , which has occupied the headlines for the past month. The answer is nothing much, with a meeting of senior government ministers on Monday night producing little beyond an agreement to create a parliamentary working group to study the matter.
And Speaker of Parliament Richard Sulik caused a stir recently by calling for Slovakia to start planning for the possibility that it would leave the eurozone and reintroduce the Slovak crown.
