Hundreds of thousands of Poles on Sunday attended the funeral of their president Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, who were among the 96 victims of the April 10 air crash in Russia. Slovakia was represented at the rites in Krakow by President Ivan Gašparovič and Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Slovak airspace remains closed since Friday due to a cloud of ash from an Icelandic volcano that has grounded traffic over much of Europe.
